Beginning on Friday, August 25, and continuing still, our community has seen unprecedented amounts of rain from Hurricane Harvey. Pearland and the nearby suburb of Friendswood have both been hit hard and many people in our church and our community have experienced devastating losses from this storm. As the floodwaters finally retreat, we will be actively serving our community by encouraging one another, providing food and shelter, and helping with demolition and rebuilding efforts.
All (100%) of the donations that we receive for Hurricane Relief will specifically be used to assist people in our area who have been affected by this storm.
There are two ways to give:
(1) If you would like your donation to be tax deductible, please donate through our Web site at www.lpfellowship.com/giving. When you give, choose “Hurricane Relief” for the category. You will need to create an account (including providing your mailing address) so that we can mail you a tax receipt.
(2) If you would like to give without creating an account, you may do so on our YouCaring fundraiser page at www.youcaring.com/harvey-relief. Note that donations through YouCaring are NOT tax deductible.
Additionally, if you are interested in volunteering or partnering with us in some way (even if you are from out-of-state), please fill out our Google Form so we can contact you as soon as we have a better idea of what needs we will be facing after this storm.
A CHURCH IN PEARLAND TEXAS COMMITTED TO
DEVELOPING LIFELONG FOLLOWERS OF JESUS CHRIST
EXPERIENCE LIFE • LIVE LIFE • SHARE LIFE
Every ministry activity at LifePointe Fellowship Church is purposed to advance our mission to develop lifelong followers of Jesus Christ. We want people to:
- Experience life through salvation and worship.
- Live life through discipleship and fellowship.
- Share life through service and evangelism.
In the midst of our busy culture, we are focused on three core ministry activities:
- Experience life through Sunday morning worship services.
- Live life by participating in weekly LifeGroups.
- Share life by finding a place to serve.
MEET OUR STAFF
WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU THIS SUNDAY @ 9 or 10:45am
also be sure to join us for one of our classes to learn more:
Are you new to LifePointe? We’ve created a place for us to get to know each other a little better. It’s called FirstLook, and it’s a casual and fun opportunity to meet some of our staff and learn more about LifePointe, including our history, our core values and beliefs, the ministries we offer, and how you can get more connected and grow in your relationship with Christ. FirstLook meets on the first Sunday of every month. We look forward to seeing you there!
On the second Sunday of each month, LifePointe offers one of three Foundations classes, focused on the core teachings of the Bible. Classes cover topics such as creation, our purpose, sin, salvation, baptism, the church, communion, worship, evangelism, and spiritual gifts. The purpose of these classes is to use God’s Word to build a strong foundation for your life as a life-long follower of Christ. Whether you are new to the faith or a long-time believer, these classes will certainly be helpful to you!
To learn more or sign-up to attend FirstLook or Foundations, please use the contact form at the bottom of this page.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ — by grace you have been saved

We are excited about what God is doing a LifePointe, and look forward to seeing you soon!
Pastor Cecil is the lead and founding pastor of LifePointe Fellowship. He graduated from Southwestern Assemblies of God University with a B.S. in Cross Cultural Missions. He and his wife, Leah, married in 1999 and have three amazing children: Hudson, Houston, and Hinsley.
In late 2004, the Lord placed a desire in the heart of Pastor Cecil and Leah Whitton to begin a new church that would reach the Pearland area and it’s surrounding communities.
He and his wife Leah served as associate pastors in Dallas before hearing God specifically call them to Pearland. Pastor Cecil’s family lived south of Pearland, so they would often drive down from Dallas to visit his family, passing Pearland on highway 288 on the way. On one particular journey, Pastor Cecil felt God speak to him that they would plant a church in Pearland. (At the time, there was mostly empty land at the 518 – 288 intersection!) When Cecil talked to Leah about it, she told him that she had heard exactly the same message a year ago on a similar journey.
In the fall of 2005, Cecil and Leah moved to Pearland and launched LifePointe Fellowship. Beginning with only seven people, God has blessed LifePointe over the years, through our commitment to developing lifelong followers of Christ and making a positive impact not only in our local community but also worldwide through global missions.
Early in 2010, four years after LifePointe launched, we expanded the church building to make room for more people. After an extensive renovation of the inside and outside of the facilities, we were able to meet those needs.
In 2013, we planted a new church in Haiti, called Centre de Vie (or LifePointe Haiti).
In 2015, we expanded Sunday morning to two services
In 2016, we launched Champions Club, a ministry for kids with special needs. This year we also began offering Foundations classes to introduce, deepen, or refresh people’s understanding of the foundational teachings of Christianity.
Today, LifePointe is a growing community of believers with a passion for God, reaching people from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and locations. We are proud of the diversity God has brought to our church, as we are all united together as brothers and sisters in Christ.
In the midst of all this excitement, we recognize that church health is more important than numerical growth and programs. At LifePointe, we are confident that God has a specific purpose for each person’s life. That’s why we are hard at work at making each family feel connected to God’s purpose and to each other.
So whether you live in Pearland, Friendswood, Manvel, South Houston, League City, Webster, Pasadena, Deer Park, Alvin, Santa Fe, Dickinson, or any of the other surrounding area, we’d love to see you this Sunday!
